My current plan is to get out with the warden from Sunday through Wednesday in the usual haunts off the islands. Our boat (TALISMAN) has a red and yellow kayak on the hardtop. I monitor 71 so give a call if you spot us and I'll gladly let you know how we're doing. The pressure is on as the loveable warden has informed me she is only bringing two supper meals and I'll have to catch the other two main courses!! ;D ::).

Nice high pressure system slowly moving its way in to the area and should stay for a while, Gbay will have an extended period of calm winds if I am correct.  No shortage of lakers for you Jim, you and the wife wont go hungry.
Im fishing the Great Ontario Salmon Derby all weekend and most of next week, but after that ill be up for 10 days straight of Gbay trolling.  Best of luck to all anglers this weekend and this summer.

Saturday AM looks decent for downrigging with rain but no storms.  I think I will get out for a few hours.

We are taking advantage of the light winds and will be spending a few days taking the boat up north.  Maybe anchor in the Moon River/Massassauga Park area or possibly around 12 mile bay.  Won't be rigging up there, but will be taking the dinghy out for some pike and bass.  Nothing better than sleeping on the boat on a calm summer night and slipping out with the dog for some fishing in the morning mist. My wife loves fresh fish for breakfast and I'm happy to oblige.

Any size to the Lakers these days? I normally fish Mark's Point, Awenda and Beckwith for them, but it has been a few years.

Fished this AM.  Small salmon and a bigger one lost after a couple minutes.  Marks pt/ferry area. Then a decent laker near the tomb.

Went out this am. Pretty windy and lumpy. Only went as far as the tomb. Two small lakers and a nice salmon about 10lbs. 75 down over 105. Temps were 51 at that level. Off to Port Rawson tomorrow for a few days.

Not much bait at all.  Few fish marked.  Not even the normal lakers on the bottom.  Salmon came out of nowhere. Good start though.

0/4 tonight inside Christian Island. Marked a tonne of fish. Marked some great bait as well.
Some bad luck in getting the hook set, but what a beauty night.

Was in about 85 ft of water with most fish being in the 60 to 80 ft range. I assume these were lakers. Mongolian Beef seemed to be working the magic.

At least you found them and managed to hook into a few.  Mongolian beef moonshine is a great spoon.
