That sounds like a great vacation with lots of action.  We are heading up next week with the kids and hoping for some decent days.

How deep were you running the bottom bouncers and if I may ask what area did you fish - we typically try the Shawanaga River area, but locals at the marina mentioned some outer shoal areas would be good.

Thanks

Follow up baits.   Wacky rig a big 10in sluggo and see what happens.

Thanks guys I will try different speeds and figure eights. Maybe itís just not my year. Two days ago I was fishing and watched a pike inhale my spinner. It was fully in his mouth! Only the leader was sticking out his mouth. I tried to set the hook and I pulled it straight out of his mouth lol.    Oh well.  At least Iím out there fishing.

Hi guys.  Iím hoping for some help here.  Iíve had more pike follow my lure to the boat this year than I have in a long time.  The problem is I usually only get 1 or 2 into the boat for a pic and release.  How do I get these other followers to bite?  Itís usually about 10-12 feet away when I see them.  Thanks

Any particular lure that you are using? I was throwing spinners last time I was out and noticed quite a few followers that were not committing. Put on some polarized shades and figure 8. If you see a fish at boat side, keep figure 8-ing until it strikes or swims off. "Mrbeee" has given some good advice as well.

I ice fish for smelt on the river in Exeter and on Great Bay. Also fish Swains lake in Barrington and several ponds up in the lakes area of NH. Mainly fishing for perch and bass. When ice fishing Im more interested in quantity rather than quality.

I change the speed of retrieve to get them to commit
Most times speed up but other times slow right down and they run right into it

Fishing Georgian Bay / Re: Trolling Report

Made it out this weekend tried trolling anywhere from 60 fow to 100 but couldn't find any salmon not many marks either. Tried lymans, spoons and spoons with flasher. Went out deep around lunch and got a laker and a few knock offs. On the way home trailers bearing burned up and damaged the axle spindle lucky the wheel didnt fly off. I didn't notice until i was back in the driveway. Will be about a week for my new axle to come in so i wont be able to make it out for a couple weeks. Good luck out there
