October Fishing - Sans Souci Area
« on: October 02, 2017, 09:08:15 am »
I'm taking a last-minute trip to the bay for some fishing this weekend. How are the current conditions? Is the fall pattern emerging now that the weather has cooled?

I've never been up this late in the year so I'm not sure what to expect. I'll mostly be targeting bass and trolling for musky but it's a quick trip so any pointers to get started with would be appreciated.

Thanks

Just got back from fishing for Musky and Pike in that area. Fishing was really good last week but started to slow down Wednesday afternoon when the cold front started to come in. Lots of big pike and musky. Caught some musky casting into weed beds. Caught several large pike trolling in deep water that is close to shallow weed beds. Seemed to be hitting on lures that run down to about 15 to 20 feet of water.

Thanks for the update. From what I heard that extended warm spell was great for fishing. Too bad I missed it.

I'm curious to see if the fish are moving shallow now with the temperatures dropping.
