Demo Night
« on: March 24, 2012, 03:31:09 pm »
Jay from the Paddle Shack offered to bring some boats out for a demo night. He offered to bring different styles and let people try them. He would explain various techniques of paddling in different wind conditions.

Would this be of interest to anyone and if so where would be the most convenient location. I guess we could narrow the options to Gravenhurst Bay, Tudhope Park, or Midland.

Any feedback would be great.

I think you would get the most visibility and access in Tudhope since that is closest to where the majority of anglers that belong to the both sites would be.

It's definetly a good idea to get people into the various types and sizes of boats to get a first hand on their handling capabilities.

I think it would be a great way to help grow the sport.

I was thinking Tudhope because there is lots of parking close to the water and quiet, warmer, shallow bays to get the feel of it. I might even bring a BBQ.

I'd be in for a Tudhope day if the scheduling allows.

If I can wangle a pass from the warden, I'd like to join in. Seriously, Tudhope would be fine for me and I'll be there barring any type of unforeseen emergency.

Sounds Like a fun event!

Tudhope is a nice park, would be good to hold this when the Perch Festival is happening.

I have my Cuda and Coosa now in backyard, Muskoka Paddleshack received a load in today... They are selling quite a few and a sweet custom coloured one.

Hey Gang, any idea of a date for the demo night?
May be wise for a warmer water as guys are demoing or some may be first time in kayak.

I agree Canuckbass,

I would recommend if there is a touny planned on Couch, to have it then or nearer to then... It would be a good time for prospective to see a large of yaks already kitted out - thus easier for them to picture themselves in...
My 2 cents..

I recently got my package from Scotty so my kayaks will be pimped out and you can have a look at all the great products Scotty makes for paddle sports.

Hopefully after this weekend, been working like crazy... A few flush mounts installed, trying to find time to finish it up.
