« on: July 02, 2011, 07:31:34 pm »
IMPORTANT NOTICE:

VENUE CHANGE FOR GLOUCESTER POOL - PORT SEVERN PARK

The venue for the Western Tour/BM100 Tour Gloucester Pool event has been changed to Port Severn Park in the Township of Georgian Bay.

This new facility features a water park and swimming area for family enjoyment and plenty of docking for the end of the day.

Due to the Port Severn Bridge being under construction, we recommend that you use the Driftwood Cove Marina Resort for launching. We have arranged for Driftwood to open at 5:00 am the morning of the event. Excellent launch ramp, a secured parking facility and it is within walking distance to Port Severn Park. The cost of launch and parking is $20.

The Driftwood Cove Marina Resort Driftwood Cove Marine Resort boasts 70 docking slips, full ammenities, choice accommodations, function room, restaurant, activities, and gated outside parking and storage. When pre-fishing you may wish to utilize their outstanding service.

Grant and Barbara Petty are your hosts and can be contacted at 705-538-2502 or www.driftwoodcove.com.

The following are the directions to the Park.

- Take Highway 400 North toward Parry Sound.
- Take Exit 156 in to Port Severn.
- Take “short” off ramp (before the 4 way stop) to the right on Port Severn Road.
Park is immediately on right hand side.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the CSFL at 905-640-2277, the Tournament Director at 416-802-2277 or bassmania@on.aibn.com.

Our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Any idea why they changed the launch and weigh in site, John?
Even a fish could stay out of trouble if it could just keep its mouth shut....

Does anybody know where this site is by water? I was thinking of just getting to the rock early and then boating over.

I think it just loops around but I don't know if the closed bridge makes any difference.
