Smallies
« on: June 25, 2018, 03:23:51 pm »
Hi All,

I have a family cottage in Little Beausoleil Bay and I am heading up for the first week of July. I was told about fishing the Pine Islands and thought I would give it a go. My questions:

1. Is it worth running there at this time of the year? (~1h 15min run)
2. Is there somewhere closer with the same type of deep clear water structure? I have heard Giants Tomb maybe?

I am concerned that it might still be a bit early to go all that way. With the late spring they may still be in the shallower water.

I do want to go try and drop shot the deeper clear water though.

Chris
Thanks

Chris

They'll still be shallow.  60 degrees today out just east of Giants Tomb.

Way too early for that far out. Fish the deeper waters near your place.

Hi Guys

So I did make the run out there one day. It was an incredible 2 hours of fishing. Only rivaled by a day I had on Simcoe many years ago.

Thanks
Thanks
