What style of kayak is best?

The great guys at Muskoka Paddle Shack now have a few Big Tunas in stock. I haven't tried one out yet but reports from team members is incredible positive response.

I'll have to go and take a look although Ashley Rae has a Hobie that looks great as well with foot peddles.

Can't argue about the foot peddles, great design and if cost is not an issue.

I'm going back to look at the Tuna. As much as I would like the foot peddles I need a tandem and would like to be able to put an electric on it for my wife.

The kayak that is light enough to be paddle and motorised at the same time is not a kayak.
It is a dingy or a small skiff.
I did recently got (May 2017) my Wavewalk S4.
It weight 45kg, twin hull with a transom built in.
I can take a second adult for fishing, we don't have the space of a living room in it but two adult can fit in it.
I operated in last few months with:

1) a paddle (run out of gas and I have to paddle back half of Cook's bay)
2) trolling with an electric motor
3) full power with a 2HP Honda 4 stroke (the vessel is rated for max 6HP gas )

I know a guide that uses these vessel to take his clients in Key Largo Florida for fishing the corals or the mangroves.

I own the small version of it known as Wavewalk 500, that one I use it mostly for rivers or small lakes/swamps.
The setup: paddle or trolling motor.

The Wavewalk S4 is just right for Simcoe or Ontario lake.
