Thornbury

Looking for some advice. I will be heading to Thornbury in three weeks. I have never fished in the area before will be bringing my boat and I am looking for Information on Boat launches in the area,what the area offers as far as species to target and general tips on where to go,shallow ,deep, troll,cast.
Any Help would be appreciated ,just to get me started

There is a launch right in the harbor. I don't have a boat but people hang around the river mouth for bows and/or troll down towards the Craigleith shoal.
