Boat Size Muskie Fishing
« on: October 19, 2020, 01:52:45 pm »
Hey all. First post here.

I’m considering a move up to Gbay - around midland to Honey Harbour.

I’m in the market for a new boat am am down to either an 1875 Pro v Muskie or 2075 Peo V Muskie.

I’ve Muskie fished for over a decade, and am primarily a caster. I will troll as well, especially as fish move out to open water.

I like the Pro V Muskie bass style boats better than the standard ProV for the increased deck size.

Any thoughts on the right sized boat for the bay?

Thanks in Advance

I primarily fish muskie out of HH.  In the warm months a boat like the Prov musky will be fine, but come fall you're going to want to get inside while trolling.   Full windshield or bust with a top.   GBay can also whip up pretty bad, I prefer something with a lot more freeboard then any of the Pro V musky models offer.   Just my 2 cents.
