From what I saw on the weekend the smallies look like they are ready to turn on the feed bag. Most of the fish we caught were still pretty thin compared to what they should look like before ice up. Fish are still shallow although the Sound might be one of the few places on the great lakes that fish stay shallow very late in the year. Could be an awesome Oct. and could peak just in time for the walleye to start coming in.
