Midland ice fishing
« on: November 25, 2018, 08:30:28 pm »
Hey the season is just around the corner. I'm just getting back Into ice fishing with my 11 yr old son after years of not fishing. Anyway..... just wondering what is being caught in Midland Bay these days. Also, I remember years ago seeing a lot of huts in Hoggs Bay, but driving past the last few years I never see anyone fishing there??
Thanks any help would be appreciated!

Midland Bay can be a tough fish, its not what it used to be but it does offer easy access from shore.  Perch is the main fish in the bay, downsize your baits because the perch can be small although we often catch some bigger fish in the mix.  pm me for more details on other locations and species.
