Smallmouth in August
« on: June 13, 2019, 03:26:51 pm »
I will be back up in the Penetanguishene area the first week in august. I would like to take my daughter on her first fishing trip but she is young and will likely not be able to fish for too long before she gets board. Any suggestions on best places to fish that time of year. I am normally there earlier so I donít much experience with water temps that warm. Also I have never fished Crappie but that may be easier for her to real in by  herself so any information on crappie would be appreciated as well.

I would suggest just taking a dozen worms and find an area adjacent to weeds that hold some panfish like bluegills, perch or rock bass. A lot of times you will also catch some bass as a bonus but the panfish will keep her interested for awhile.
