Went to the pool yesterday. 2 of us. Nothing. Something wrong this year. Water level high. Rain and cold right into June. Iíve been to 5 lakes now. Lots of pike , but very little bass.  Mmmm

Don't waste your time fishing the river between Maclean and GPool, slow and brown.   I was out on GPool the other day from about 6:30am-10am and landed a dozen bass or so and a decent pike while tossing muskie gear.    Fish definitely aren't in the same spots as they were last year at this time.

Are they deep, shallow. , or plain just hiding ?

I got them everywhere.  This heat wave definitely hasn't been good for fishing.

Like Bill, I got them everywhere.  It was an early morning bite, and then an early evening bite.  Didn't get many pike; but we got bass, catfish and pickerel.  Oh, and a 3 inch rock bass! lol
