What are you all fishing for on these fall days? Lakers have closed and the older salmon are in the rivers.
Personally I’ve transitioned to the rivers for the salmon and trout I chased all summer and the football sized smallmouth gorging on baitfish.
So what’s your fall transition fish?

Rainbows from shore and in rivers. Musky and walleye when its calm and can get the boat out which seems to be never. Weekends are always wavy.

Jumbo perch, pike, musky and walleye.
Small mouth as well if I can find them.

Trolling weed edges from Black Bay to Merrygrove for pike. After 6 weeks of poor fishing, they're back.

Just about done with the fresh run kings that smash crank baits at dawn. Now river steel and cohos until the freeze up.

Steelhead off the boards in OS, muskie, crappies, open water smallies, haven't even dusted off the float gear yet. Lots of fishing to be done before the ice gets here.
