Line size for downrigger rod?

Just wondering what pound test is everyone using on downrigger rods?  Using fluorocarbon leader or just straight mono?

Valley tackle has it right.
I like 20 when running flashers and meat with 25lb fluoro from flasher to meat
14-17 on my lighter action rods for spoons.
Trilene is great

I have used 15 pound test Maxima Ultra Green monofilament when running spoons or plugs on Georgian Bay for many years. Maxima was always the go-to mono for the majority of charter boat operators on Lake Ontario and out of Owen Sound. Krawler's advice on line weight when employing flashers and meat rigs is right on (as usual).

30lb Trilene big game for Lake O, 15lb Big Game for everywhere else.
